Bee-ing Intentional
I watch those commercials with Dr. Rick helping people to not turn into their parents, and here I am signing up for an Intro to Beekeeping class.
Why am I interested in beekeeping now? (Because 25 year old me was in no way signing up for that.)
Part of it is my growing appreciation of being outdoors, and knowing how important bees are to our well being. I think a big part of it is the fact that my wife brought up the idea, and the thought of doing something together sounded kind of cool. Just like you we’re busy working, running our kids around and trying to fit in time together. The word ‘intentionality’ has been at the forefront of my mind over the past few months, and I have realized that if I don’t intentionally schedule time to do things with her, or our friends, time just kind of passes by.
So I am going to be intentional about us doing something together, rather than just take what comes along. Set the time and learn about beekeeping.
Bonus beyond time spent together - I like honey on my biscuits.
